Rotterdam Architecture Month
Bauhaus of the Seas Sails was part of Rotterdam Architecture Month taking place each June in Rotterdam. The public event focused on the Delta pilot took place on 15 June in Rotterdam.
Organised and hosted by partners and participating entities Deltametropool, TUDelft, Nieuwe Instituut, Port City Futures and EGTS Linieland. The one day event welcomed a group of 30 designers, artists, landscape planners and architects at the Rotterdam Maritime Museum and the Nieuwe Instituut.
Characterized by diverse cities and ports in complex water systems and landscapes, the Delta Pilot is a home to two Bauhaus of the Seas Sails drops – Tidal Architectures and Zoöp which were presented by Carola Hein (TU Delft) and Klaas Kuitenbrouwer (Nieuwe Instituut).
Michael Rodrigues (TU Delft) demonstrated how to use the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails geospatial platform and Elise Haentjens (EGTS Linieland) presented the cross border project Greenpark Groot Saeftinghe.
