Impressions from the first Open Call launch in Malmö

On the 22nd of November 2023, the Malmö pilot group launched the first Open Call for Ocean Ambassadors, at Konsthallen in Malmö. Malmö University,  Forum for Social Innovation Sweden and Marine Education Center are running the Swedish pilot of the Bauhaus of the Sea Sails and are looking for Ocean Ambassadors among Malmö residents.

A total of 41 participants attended the event, of different backgrounds, experiences and expertise’s. The event started with a welcoming sensory session with the algae from Öresund representing the non-humans. 

The Malmö pilot group presented the Bauhaus of the Seas Sails project, the members of the Malmö pilot group and their function as well as the Sea Forum and the concept of Ocean Ambassadors.

The outcome was successful, as the participants started networking, discussing ideas, how to collaborate and they were excited to get started.

The participants have been invited to attend the match-making events on the 28 November and on the 7 December, to provide them with the pilot support and for them to continue their collaborations.
